INCUBUS HOWL

STILLS FROM INCUBUS HOWL

INCUBUS HOWL DIRECTORS STATEMENT

I wanted to make this film because I wanted to deal with the themes of both guilt and anxiety and the effect it can have on an individual. Throughout the film the character has to go through different stages. With each act focusing on a different obstacle in his wake and the methods he uses in confronting them. I wanted to reflect the dangerous side that an individual can have, but I also wanted to showcase through abstraction metal health and how disastrous it can be if it’s left unchecked. Below you can find the Pre-Visualization of Incubus Howl which contains elements left out of the film.

A DARK PASSENGER

A Dark Passenger Directors Statement

I wanted this to be in Black and White mostly because I wanted this to show the viewer what the protagonist felt like inside. Most of the shows are close-up and claustrophobic and that’s intentional. It forces the viewer to connect a little bit more. The use of shadows on the wall symbolizes their inner thoughts and the swap to colour at the end is a refusal to conform to her own thoughts.

In my Head

In My Head Director’s Statement

I wanted to showcase the creative process and how draining coming up with an idea can be for an individual and the feelings of self-doubt that occur within the mind. I wrote a script about the pains of the writing process as a way to channel these feelings into something tangible.
